Privacy Policy
Our Commitment To Privacy
The privacy of our players is incredibly important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on every page Sqord publishes online.
Overview
Sqord gives players the ability to have controlled interaction with their friends and teammates. We are committed to make Sqord a fun and friendly environment, but the environment on Sqord.com also depends on you. Whenever using this site, or any social networking website, you should be careful about the interactions you have with others. We urge our players to always be respectful and positive in their communications.
Sqord enthusiastically welcomes parents, teachers, principals, organization administrators, and other concerned adults.
On this site, with parental or school permission (and supervision), kids can participate in a virtual online environment, giving them the opportunity to measure their physical activity, compete with friends and teammates in friendly challenges, and earn virtual rewards such as medals and points for their efforts.
We also provide kids with the ability to have controlled communications, using limited and moderated Squawk messages, selected by players from a fixed menu, with their chosen friends. We do not provide mechanisms for free-form text to be sent or received by our players.
In this policy we describe what information we collect, how we collect it, and what we do with it (the policy covers only information collected and used on Sqord.com). Sqord, Inc. strives to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, (COPPA) a U.S. law that governs the use and collection of information online from kids under 13. To learn more about this law, and about how to protect your kids on interactive online websites, visit OnGuardOnline.gov and at COPPA.org for information from the U.S. Federal Government. A detailed list of FAQs is also available at http://www.ftc.gov/privacy/coppafaqs.shtm.

Parent email addresses are used to communicate with parents about their kids in relation to their activity at Sqord.com such as a forgotten password.

Within those features, users are identified in the community by their screen name, age, gender and country of origin. This limited (and non-personal) identifying information, accompanied by a customized on-screen representation called a PowerMe (created by the Player), will be displayed to the user or kid's friends and others who have obtained the user or kid's screen name.
